Perspectives and Opinions

in this presentation we read a article about Tongas game and how I feel about Tonga and the articles that ive read.

Tonga vs England

During their success I have enjoyed seeing smiles on peoples faces and the joy they have seeing their country play against other countries.

I have also enjoyed hearing people all over G.I screaming and clapping for Tonga, hearing people cheer as loud as they can makes other people laugh and cry tears of joy.

I’ve learnt that people are serious when it comes to games like this, especially when there’s heaps to family members and friends that support their culture.

I’ve also learnt that being part of a culture means having pride for your country and leading with strength and love and supporting others.

This has helped me as a young person to always take care of the people that I am loved from and the people thats around me, Its made me feel confident and proud to know that where I come from is where I belong and who I represent.

It has also helped me as a young person to be a role model for my little siblings and also making my family proud.

Tonga and England had a very tough game but everyone knew whoever wins on losses were all champions and we never give up!

Music, Emotions & Colours

This term we have been learning about music, the 6 different emotions and colours that relates to the different emotions. My buddy and I were struggling while finding the songs that we thought would suit the word. During this task I learnt that different music and sounds that other people play including myself, leads up to how I feel.

A day full of Athletics

On Friday last week Pt England had athletics, Pt England had to wear their house colours which made the whole school look like a rainbow, the house colours were green blue yellow and red:
Red- Te aurere
Green- Hokulea
Yellow- Hikianalia
Blue- Hine Moana
Everyone had so much fun including teachers and parents.
Parents, were sitting around cheering for their children but were having as much fun as the students were.

Guest Speaker

This morning we had a special visitor named Mr Patterson.
He came to talk about A + I = M (A - Aspiring) (I - Inspiring) (M - Motivation) (AIM - aim for success) Team 5 learnt alot of new things about our future. Team 5 was so interested in his story that Team 5 was so quiet

Be a giver:  Be a giver means, you do something kind for others,
Being a giver is doing alot of kind and caring things to people and to those who need it. Some people can be givers but not all of them are.

Being a taker: Being a taker is taking things from other people and never giving it back, being a taker is mean, mean for other people causerie they do kind stuff and you take take and take and never give back. Some people can be takers but not all of them are

I learnt alot of things from Mr Patterson he was talking about our future and sharing with us some of his and other people's memories. So make sure your a giver not a taker

Random Facts about important things…..

Staying in school is good for you because there are alot of things that could happen to you, so thats why im here to tell how and why its good to stay in school

Firstly staying in school helps half your brain to learn and the rest of your brain to focus so if you want to be a scholar like me just let your brain do its job and let your fingers work

Secondly is education, education is the most important word to have in your life. You can’t only survive with a heart you have to survive with education too. The definition for education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. So if you want to get a good job i think you should learn the definition of education and have to put it into action.

Thirdly School, school and school. When I think of a house I think of school. When i think of my siblings I think of school there's so many memories that brings up the word school. School is everything, School is the reason you can read, School is the reason why your writing but it all started from your family. The definition of school is an institution for educating children. So if you want to have a good life you should stay in school.

Lastly is organization, organization is another word for organize, organize is when you get your things prepared for the next day or next event. Another way of being organized is doing the right things when without being told so if you want to be organized for school I suggest to follow these steps.

When you have followed these steps you will find how important random school life is. If you have read it and still don’t get it then your eyes are not good enough.

My dream job

My dream Job

Intro: When I grow up I want to become a technician that fixes peoples electronics or a hairdresser that does all sorts of things to peoples hair and make it look better than before

Why?

I want to be a technician because I have had 4 phones so far and they all have a different problem and me as a normal person trying to fix it didn’t work so when I got my very first phone it stopped working and I didn’t know how to fix it after a while my life got boring because I didn’t have my phone. So from years that have gone past i’ve been wanting to be a technician.

Why?

I want to be a hairdresser because every morning I braid my little sisters hair and sometimes my mums, I reckon braiding is something that calms me down after something has happened and because I get alot of good feedback from family members and friends so if I was to become a hairdresser I would stick to being a hairdresser.

Closing: These are my future jobs that I want to become when I grow up but to make this all happen you have to follow alot of rules and their not just ordinary rules their rules that need to be hammered in your brain.

MM - made a song for the whole of Pt England to sing

First Team 1 presented their theme for team 1 to follow throughout the last term of the year. Team 1 performed an item in front of the school, the item was containing team 1’s attention the most because the teachers that participated in the item was the teachers from their block. The teachers were playing snap while the music was playing when the music changes their emotions changed.

Second Team 2 presented their theme for team 2 to follow throughout the last term of the year. Team 2 performed an item in front of the school, the item was containing team 2’s attention the most because the teachers that participated in the item was the teachers from their block. Mrs Gaston was singing a song called in the jungle while playing the guitar while she singing I was getting goosebumps because I don’t know why.

Thirdly Team 3 presented their theme for team 2 to follow throughout the last term of the year. Team 3 performed an item in front of the school, the item was containing team 3’s attention the most the teachers that participated in the item was the teachers from their block. There were 4 teachers singing their favourite songs but they were acting it out.

Fourth Team 4 presented their theme for team 2 to follow throughout the last term of the year. Team 3 performed an item in front of the school, the item was containing team 3’s attention the most because the teachers that participated in the item was the teachers from their block.


Team 5 teachers were presenting there them for team 5, the theme that we are doing for the last term of the year is a mixture of all the other teams theme. Team 5 used popcorn as one of there props

Our theme for the rest of the year has changed way differently but Pt England still has to stick to the theme so....

Musical Madness

My experience

Room 4 was filming this week. Room 4 already knew what was our film was going to be but didn't know what Mrs Judd was planning on how to make it interesting. Mrs Judd told us a few things about the film that made room 4 go wild, but room 4 knew how to keep it to themselves. I won't tell you what our film is called but I will will tell you what I experienced if you know what my film is called then good on you!

My experience:

It was weird when I was given things that I have never seen or eaten before.
It was funny being in the same room with people that I know and comfortable with.
It was scary having to wear blindfolds.
It wasn't scary being with he best teacher of all
Putting things in my mouth and guessing sounds easy but really....
If you ever do this be aware...feel before you taste.

Speech Winners

On Thursday Ms Tapuke announced the winners for the speech. I was afraid my name was going to be pulled up but I wasn't actually afraid I was nervous. When Ms Tapuke said drum roll we all did the drum roll and she said 3rd place which I forgot and 2nd I forgot and 3rd place I could hear the whole of team 5 saying"Amelia,Amelia" but some part of my brain was telling me I wasn't going to be picked and the other side was telling me yes I was. When Ms Tapuke didn't say my name I heard everyone say "ohhhh Amelia should've got it" i knew they were right but the teachers knew that I did a great job but just not great enough. I think the people that won did a wayy better job then I did.

Speech Finals

On Friday the 25th of August at 12:00 Team 5 was having a speech Competition out in the street(Middle of team 5)

I was on of the opponents that was competing with other students from other classes. I felt nervous when we got told to sit on the chairs so I didn't move and stayed on ground. Mr Wiseman was holding a box with names he slowly out his hand in and pulled his hand back out. He said !AMELIA! everyone started clapping....that made me more nervous I stood up and I heard teachers laughing because I was supposed to be sitting on the chairs. I walked over talking to myself saying "Im not doing this for anyone else but myself and my nana."

I stood there......took a deep breath and started reading. I knew I was being watched by everyone. I could feel my voice starting to crackle and and shake but I took another deep breathe and let it go and carried on reading. When I finished everyone started clapping. 

My favourite Speech was Yvone, Yvone wrote about how to look interested but you not. Yvone was using action and she was being enthusiastic. I liked Yvone's speech because it had heaps of good points on how to look interested but your not.

Digital Footprint

Every Thursday we have sessions with Mrs Shearing. Today we had to make a digital Footprint from our history where we have have been in 24 hours. Our class had to create their own but this one is mine.

Last week we started a presentation but I got a bit distracted and carried away with another presentation. I learnt in this presentation how many tens are in a 3 digit number I needed also needed a little help from Ms Tapuke she was a bit heplful. Thank you Ms:)

Doing this presentation was very frustrating because I wasn't thinking properly but now I have finished and posting it on my blog. Editing this presentation was 50% easy and 50% hard. I also learnt that things can be possible if you want it to and things can be impossible if you make it impossible.

During this presentation we had to read a book about Manuka honey and had to fill in the questions I think this presentation was really confusing but I still got my work done:)

Technological Process

Brainstorm - research - plan/design - create - present 

Today in litercay we were learning about the Technological Process.

We had to get into a group of 5 but we had six we got given 200 toothpicks and a bunch of jellybeans.

Brainstorm-we had to brainstorm about what our structure was going to look like

research - We had to research about what we were going to do and how we are going to do it.

Plan/design - we planned how it will look and designed our plan on a piece of paper

Create - We knew what we were doing so we stared creating our design.

Present - Mrs Judd had to put books on it to see who's

group had the best idea how to make it.

Immersion Assembly 2017

It's  Term 2 Week 1 Day 1 and room 4 and the whole of Pt England just finished having a immersion assembly. The immersion assembly was when all the teachers have to make a video or talk and tell the school about what there doing for term 2.

Team 1 was first, there video had teachers making kites so there classes can make it too
Mrs Squires one was made out of flax, While Mrs Hockley was deciding she was eating chocolate until....she noticed the colours of the wrapper so she decided to make her kite out of all the colours of the wrappers, Mrs Lal kite was made out of plastic bags.

Team 2 was second , in team 2 video it was about the teachers dressed in school uniform making kites as well there making different kites compared to Team 1.

Team 3 was next, In team 3 video there was a Maori man that was throwing pebbles trying to reach the sky.

Team 4 was the second to last  group, During there video there was the teachers from Team 4 deciding what the topic what going to be for there team to do for Term 2.

Team 5 was the lucky last group, During Team 5 performance Mr Wiseman was bob the builder and there assistants where Mz Tapuke, Mrs Ilaoa and Mrs Judd there performance was about what team 5 was going to make this term and they came up with making something useful for team 5

Happy Easter!!

It is 2017 and Easter has arrived.
My family and I had a fun time today stuffing our faces with chocolate.I normally think that Easter is all about chocolate....but it's not its about something way different and I will come back to that after I tell you one of my reasons why I enjoy Easter and what is Easter all about.

So I have three reasons why I love Easter:
Firstly I love Easter because we get to eat Easter eggs and have Easter hunt.
Secondly because we get to celebrate and do heaps of fun activities.
Thirdly because I get to learn about Jesus.

So anyway as I said that I was going to tell you what Easter is the day Jesus dies on the cross for us not only us but everyone in the world today that is what Good Friday is for.I hope you enjoy the rest of the day and also.........HAPPY EASTER........

My own personal Narrative Writing

I saw him looking at me from behind the garden shed.Thinking that this was a game so I turned right around and looked wondering where could've he gone.I ran inside feeling nervous and scared thinking what could is possibly be.I was thinking on the positive side and then ended up on the negative side.My heart felt like it was jumping .I was scared.I quickly ran to find my mum.I came across her room I paused and walked slowly and saw.....NOTHING .....  could feel something or someones breath on my leg I then ran towards the stairs thinking who's up there I could  hear noises as if they were fighting or someone was looking for something.I crept around the house looking for my car keys and my phone I rang my dad and no one answers .So I decided to hop in the car and drive and just as I was about to turn the corner I heard my phone buzzzzzzz and I checked it my phone was been rung by a person named unknown.I felt really terrified but I said to myself"be brave go back and see"And so I did I headed towards the black ans white house which was my house which was mine and I left the engine of the car on and walked into the house feeling like a spy so I crawled I rolled I hid and I was officially a spy I wondered and out loud"what do you want"My voice crackled as i said that.

I heard someone walking down the stairs .Someone was laughing and I thought I new who It was so I had a little smile on my face and said happily"DAD!"I was scared you know I could've called the cops but I was brave and came back "and he replied back"sorry your mum said to because you pranked her tooso yeah shame "stop"I promise I wont do that ever again they both agreed both to each other hugging each other for a few minuets.
